The internet is a pervasive, fundamental part of daily life that continues to deliver massive economic and social benefits around the world. Yet more than 60% of our country’s population – are still not online.

Although much progress has been made in closing the digital divide, the challenge remains huge, complex and multidimensional. It requires a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach to overcome four key barriers to internet inclusion:infrastructure; affordability; skills, awareness and cultural acceptance; and relevant content.

Infonet works with this comprehensive value chain and establishes and facilitates physical and digital platforms at the regional and national level, that will create hundreds of millions of new internet users,that will in turn create opportunity, equality and growth.

Our mission is to close the digital divide, between the served and underserved areas, be it urban cities or the rural village. Internet penetration can help improve the economy in these areas by powering businesses, increasing income, lowering unemployment rates and creating jobs. It allows them to connect to buy goods and services that may not be available locally; market their products and services to a much larger area; connect remotely and by enlarge, enhance the quality of life.
